Albania Stuns Italy in International Friendly
Grifo Scores Brace in 3-1 Victory
Freiburg winger Vincenzo Grifo scored twice as Italy defeated Albania 3-1 in an international friendly on Tuesday night. The match was part of Day Two of Euro 2024, which saw 10 goals and wins for Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.
Albania opened the scoring in the 17th minute through a stunning goal from Myrto Uzuni. Italy responded quickly, however, with Grifo equalizing in the 23rd minute. Grifo put Italy ahead in the 33rd minute, and Gnonto sealed the win with a goal in the 89th minute.
The victory was a confidence-booster for Italy, which is preparing for the 2024 European Championship. Albania, meanwhile, will be hoping to build on this performance in their upcoming matches.
